CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The North Carolina Tar Heels were triumphant over Queens University in their season-opening meet for a third consecutive year with the women posting a 180-77 victory and the men recording a 148.5-111.5 win at the Levine Aquatic Center.
Carolina started strong with wins in the first 13 events and finished by claiming 10 of the final 15 races. On the women's side, the Tar Heels took the top three spots in the 100, 200 and 500 free, 100 and 200 back, 200 breast, and 200 IM. UNC took the top three on the men's side in the 100 and 200 fly.
