Southern Institution Mama Dip’s Vows to Continue Feeding Chapel Hill

Spring Council said that while the physical restaurant will close on August 17, Mama Dip’s will continue with a family-style takeout model for the foreseeable future. “We’re all getting older,” Spring, who at 67 is the youngest child of Mildred Council (a.k.a. Mama Dip), said of herself and her seven siblings, who own the restaurant jointly. (Eater)
