CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Rallying to load the bases in the top of the seventh of round one of the ACC Championships, the North Carolina Tar Heels did not complete the comeback against the NC State Wolfpack on Wednesday evening at Ulmer Stadium in Louisville, Ky.
The Tar Heels opened the game with Kristina Burkhardt scoring, after being hit by pitch and errors sent her around the bases in the first inning. Carolina held the 1-0 lead until Skyler Brooks scored one run in the top of the third off a Destiny Middleton single.
