In the 2015-16 season, the North Carolina women's basketball team has been plagued by horrid performances in the third quarters of games.
Against Louisville on Feb. 4, the Tar Heels gave up 35 points in the period en route to a 78-60 loss. In UNC's blowout loss to Florida State on Sunday, the Seminoles owned a 27-11 advantage during the third.
North Carolina's game against Pittsburgh on Thursday in Carmichael Arena never got to that point.
After a first half that saw the Tar Heels have almost as many turnovers (15) as points (16), the team simply could not recover, eventually losing to the Panthers 76-60.
