CHAPEL HILL—Six University of North Carolina women's lacrosse players have earned 2021 Preseason All-America accolades from Inside Lacrosse, ILWomen announced on Monday.
Four Tar Heels grabbed first-team honors, most of any school in the nation. That quartet includes graduate student attacker Katie Hoeg, senior attacker Jamie Ortega, graduate student midfielder Kerrigan Miller and senior defender Emma Trenchard.
Senior goalie Taylor Moreno was on the third team, and senior attacker Scottie Rose Growney earned honorable mention.
UNC's four honorees led eight Atlantic Coast Conference players on the first team, a list that also includes attacker Emily Hawryschuk of Syracuse, Maddie Jenner of Duke and Andie Aldave and Bridget Deehan of Notre Dame.
