UNC field hockey alum Loren Shealy earned her first international cap Sunday as the U.S. Women’s National Team took on Japan in a four-game series in Lancaster, Pa. Playing at the team’s training center, Spooky Nook Sports, the U.S. team beat Japan 3-0.

Shealy played at UNC from 2011-14 and was a three-year winner (the maximum number of times a student-athlete can win) of the NCAA Elite 89 Award. Throughout her career she was recognized as one of the top student-athletes in collegiate field hockey. Over the summer, following her graduation in May, she received an invitation to join the U.
