Seven Teams Post Perfect Multi-Year Academic Progress Rates

The University of North Carolina field hockey and women's soccer teams, which won the NCAA championship and played in the national title game, respectively, last fall, are two of seven Tar Heel programs to record perfect multi-year 1000s in the NCAA's Academic Progress Rates.

The NCAA uses Academic Progress Rates to track the academic performance of scholarship students who compete on varsity teams. The score measures eligibility and retention each semester by student athletes at every NCAA institution. The current data reflects the 2021-22 school year; the multi-year rates include rates over the past four years from 2018-19 to 2021-22.
