On the heels of a national championship season, seven members of the North Carolina field hockey team have earned All-South Region honors.
Amanda Hendry, Erin Matson, Meredith Sholder and Eva Smolenaars were named to the 16-member first team. Bryn Boylan, Cassie Sumfest and Courtnie Williamson were selected for the second team, also made up of 16 members.
All were part of the starting lineup for the Tar Heels, who finished the season 19-1, claiming NCAA and Atlantic Coast Conference titles and winning both on their home turf at Karen Shelton Stadium.
