CHAPEL HILL - The final home match for three legendary Tar Heels saw top seed North Carolina post a 4-0 shutout over No. 29 Old Dominion in the second round of the NCAA Women's Tennis Team Championship.
Carolina (28-0) has advanced out of regional play 11 times in a row, and improves to 50-21 all-time in NCAA postseason play. The Monarchs were coming off their first NCAA win in program history yesterday over Arkansas.
The Tar Heels will face 16th seed Cal in a Round of 16 match next Sunday at the USTA National Center in Orlando, Florida.
