CHAPEL HILL – As ACC play was starting to heat up for the Carolina Baseball team, Aaron Sabato was catching fire at the plate for the Diamond Heels.
After a sluggish start, Sabato smashed a double against Minnesota on Feb. 28 that sparked an unbelievable tear, one that would last the rest of the season. He would finish the 10-game set batting .394 and slugging 1.030. He proved to be patient at the plate as well, as he drew 16 walks, more than double of anyone else on the Carolina baseball roster.
The final six games of the season for Sabato rivaled any six-game stretch across the country by any player.
