RALEIGH, N.C. - The North Carolina rowing team finished the two-day Lake Wheeler Invitational on Saturday, in which the Tar Heels co-hosted alongside Duke.
On day two, four of the Tar Heel boats made time improvements in comparison to their Friday afternoon marks.
The first varsity eight boat improved by 11 seconds, finishing sixth in their heat with a time of 7:04.60. The second varsity eight cut eight second off their previous mark yesterday afternoon, at 7:18.66. At the third varsity eight, the Tar Heels erased more than 30 seconds off their time from the latter half of Friday, crossing the finish line at 7:32.
