It took one offensive play for the North Carolina Tar Heels to get on the scoreboard against Duke on Saturday.
After forcing a punt on Duke’s opening possession, the Tar Heels used a flea flicker from Marquise Williams to Ryan Switzer for 89 yards to grab a 7-0 lead. It was all Tar Heels after that.
Williams threw for three touchdowns and 404 yards in the first half, as well as ran for a touchdown as North Carolina took a 38-10 into halftime. Williams’ performance continued in the second half as he threw for another touchdown in the third quarter before being pulled as UNC was rolling.
