CHAPEL HILL – Davis Palermo tossed three scoreless innings to earn his second save of the season and secure North Carolina's 7-4 victory over Campbell at Boshamer Stadium on Tuesday night. Palermo struck out five and allowed just one hit in his longest outing since March 29.
Angel Zarate and Hunter Stokely drove in two runs each to help the Diamond Heels (23-14) snap the Camels' (22-13) 12-game winning streak.
With the game tied at 2-all in the bottom of the fifth inning, Alberto Osuna ripped base hit to left field to drive home Mac Horvath, who drew two-out walk and stole second to move into scoring position.
