CHAPEL HILL – Alberto Osuna hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth to lift North Carolina to a 7-5 win over No. 20 Florida State on Thursday, giving the Tar Heels their ninth win in their last 11 games.
Osuna, who also hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the first, smashed the first walk-off home run of his career when he drove a slider from Seminole reliever Wyatt Crowell (5-1) over the left field wall with two outs.
"In my first at bat he threw three straight [sliders], so I want to say I was sitting on, but you still have to respect the fastball," Osuna said.
