On This Date: 2002, 2019 ACC Titles
April 21 holds a very special place on the Carolina women's tennis calendar when you look back at the history of the program. The Tar Heels have twice won ACC Championships in 2002 and 2019.

Duke was in the midst of one of the most impressive runs of success in ACC history across all sports supported by the league. The Blue Devils entered the season having won an unprecedented 14 consecutive conference titles. In fact, Duke was so dominate that it had been 15 years since the Tar Heels had beaten their rival all the way back in 1987.
