CHAPEL HILL—No. 2 North Carolina rallied to take down No. 15 Syracuse 2-1 Saturday night at Fetzer Field.
The Tar Heels (10-0-1, 5-0-0 ACC) battled back from a 1-0 deficit at halftime, the first time Carolina has trailed at the half this season.
Oyvind Alseth put Syracuse (8-3-1, 2-2-1 ACC) in control early with a few close calls, the closest coming from a header ultimately saved by defender Jordan McCrary. However, a cross from Alseth with an assist from Liam Callahan found Miles Robinson in the box to put the Orange up 1-0 in the 22nd minute.
