Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels received massive news on Friday afternoon, as four-star Derek Dixon announced his commitment to North Carolina. Dixon chose the Tar Heels over Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, and Virginia, amongst others.
The No. 51 player in the Class of 2025 was in Chapel Hill for an official visit on Sept. 6, and evidently the North Carolina staff made a pitch that got Dixon’s attention. A previously scheduled visit to Arizona was quickly revoked after his time with the Tar Heels, and a decision date was set quickly after.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard is quite an exciting way for Hubert Davis to kickoff his 2025 class.
