In the first College Football Playoff rankings last week, the North Carolina Tar Heels were shunned.
The Playoff Committee wasn’t impressed with the Tar Heels’ one-loss resume and left them out of the initial rankings. But after a big win at home against Duke, the Tar Heels are finally staring to earn some respect. The Tar Heels have entered the rankings at number 23 this week, marking the first time ever they have been ranked in the College Football Playoff rankings.

The Tar Heels, Wisconsin Badgers and Navy Midshipman are the only new teams to the poll this week.
