BLACKSBURG – University of North Carolina cross country runner Josette Norris paced the Hokie Invite on Friday claiming first in the meet. Stella Radford, Morgan Ilse and Lucy Biles were all able to place in the top five giving the Tar Heels first place.
The Tar Heels kicked off the 2015 season with a victory in the women’s 4k race. Norris crossed the line at 13:53.11 beating out Jennifer Fleming, who was the only non-Heel to place in the top five. Radford finished third at 14:03.78 while newcomers Ilse and Biles finished in 14:08.
