The North Carolina men’s tennis team fell behind 3-0 and finished the evening with a 5-2 Atlantic Coast Conference loss Friday at Notre Dame. Playing indoors at Eck Tennis Pavilion, the Tar Heels picked up their wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots.
Top-ranked UNC is now 21-3 on the season and 6-3 in ACC play following the first back-to-back losses this season. (The Tar Heels were coming off a 4-3 loss to No. 6 Wake Forest at home last Sunday.) Notre Dame, ranked 55th, improved to 13-12 overall and 5-6 in ACC play with the win on its Senior Day.
