On the second night of the NFL Draft, UNC receiver Dyami Brown was selected in the third round, with the 82nd pick, by the Washington Football Team. This makes him the third Tar Heel off the board behind Javonte Williams and Chazz Surratt, all selected earlier today.
Brown finished his junior season with the Tar Heels with 55 receptions for a team-high 1,099 yards and eight touchdowns. Considering the fact that the next highest producing wide receiver totaled 687 yards and six touchdowns (Dazz Newsome), it would be fair to assume that Brown was Howell’s favorite target, but that simply wasn’t the case.
