Over the last three years, UNC recruited a lot of really highly-rated players on the defensive line. Most didn’t really work out, and even the decent players in that group were quickly outshone by a relatively unheralded player from outside Athens, Georgia — edge rusher Kaimon Rucker. Over his five-year career, starting as a situational rusher and ending as a full-time player, “The Butcher” worked his way up to sixth on UNC’s all-time sacks leaderboard and into an NFL prospect. Let’s take a look at what he brings to the table.
Overview:
Rucker, who measured in at 6’1 and 254 pounds, showed flashes from the beginning, compiling 13 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, and three forced fumbles over his sophomore and junior seasons.
