As my THB colleague Matt Ferenchick noted in his earlier news regarding Cedric Gray being drafted in the 4th round and 106th overall, the four-year Tar Heel linebacker was a shining star in a dark abyss that was Gene Chizik’s UNC defense. Every time a defensive play was made, you could always expect to see #33 either involved or very nearby with his uncanny ability to fly around the field and his magnetic attraction to the football.
Cedric led all of Power 5 with 279 tackles over his junior and senior seasons.
The 6’2, 234-pound inside linebacker will stay in light blue as he joins the Tennessee Titans, coming off of a disappointing 6-11 season.
