Major League Soccer (MLS) kicked off the 2017 season last week. Listed on first-team rosters are 15 former North Carolina standouts throughout the league. The Tar Heels continue to rank among the top programs funneling players into the top level of soccer in the United States.
Walker Hume and Colton Storm will see their first professional action after being selected in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. Hume was a second round pick by FC Dallas, while Storm was selected in the first round by Sporting KC. The two defenders were critical pieces to a Tar Heels’ club that reached the College Cup last fall.
