Michael Jordan competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles as an amateur prior to his NBA career and again in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona as a professional. Jordan’s teams never lost an Olympic game, going 8-0 in both 1984 and 1992. He, Patrick Ewing and Chris Mullin, are the only ever athletes to win Olympic gold medals both as amateurs and as professionals in men’s basketball. (Tar Heel Blog)
