CHAPEL HILL— Top-ranked North Carolina played its first outdoor tennis match of the season at home and dominated Wofford, 7-0, on Wednesday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
The Tar Heels, ranked No. 1 in the nation in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll, improved to 11-0 to start the season and won their 13th consecutive match. The Terriers fell to 6-6.
UNC was playing its first outing since March 7. Its two most recent home matches against Boston College (March 12) and Duke (March 17) were postponed due to Covid-19 protocols within the Duke program.
