CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina men's soccer team will kick off its 2021 season with an exhibition scrimmage against defending NCAA champion Marshall on Sunday August 15 at 8:30 p.m. at Dorrance Field.
Although the lineups for each team may have changed, the scrimmage will feature a rematch of two teams that met in the 2020 NCAA College Cup semifinals in Cary, N.C. The Thundering Herd edged Carolina, 1-0, and went on to win the national title two days later.
Sunday's scrimmage will coincide with the 25th anniversary FallFest, to be held nearby Dorrance Field on the UNC campus.
