CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Buster Sjoberg's goal in the 23 minute was the difference maker, as the No. 18-ranked Syracuse Orange (6-2-3, 2-1-2) defeated the No. 18 North Carolina men's soccer program (5-1-4, 1-1-3) in Atlantic Coast Conference action Friday night.
How It Happened
• In the fourth minute, Syracuse's Jeorgio Kocevski struck from just inside the box, but Tar Heel goalkeeper made the save in the bottom left corner.
• Syracuse scored the contest's lone goal first midway through the opening half, as Sjoberg was fed off a corner from Kocevski, jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the 23 minute.
