Carolina men's golf plays its fifth and final tournament of the fall semester Monday through Wednesday, October 30-November 1 in the East Lake Cup at the Atlanta Athletic Club.
For the second time in as many weeks the Tar Heels are competing in a four-team event. Last week, it was the St Andrews Links Collegiate in Scotland, where the Tar Heels finished second after 36 holes of stroke play and runner-up to Vanderbilt in medal match play for the championship.
Despite the outcome, the Golf Coaches Association again ranks the Tar Heels No. 1 in the nation heading into this week's competition, which pits the four semifinalists from the 2023 NCAA Championships – UNC, national champion Florida, finalist Georgia Tech and Florida State.
