For the second time in University of North Carolina men's golf history the Golf Coaches Association of America bestowed 2022 All-America honors on four Tar Heel players.
The GCAA selected fifth-senior Ryan Gerard of Raleigh, N.C., to the second team and senior Ryan Burnett of Lafayette, Calif., freshman David Ford of Peachtree Corners, Ga., and junior Austin Greaser of Vandalia, Ohio, earned honorable mention honors.
Carolina is one of five teams with four All-Americas this season along with national champion Texas, Arizona State, Oklahoma and Pepperdine.
This is the first time four Tar Heels earned All-America honors since 1991 when Pat Moore was a second-teamer and John Aber, Tee Burton and Tom Scherrer were honorable mention selections.
