JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — The University of North Carolina track and field teams closed out the NCAA East Preliminary Round on Saturday with the men's 4x400 relay punching the Tar Heels' third and final ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin, Texas. The men's relay lineup of Isaiah Palmer, Ryan Saint-Germain, Onyedikachi Ohia-Enyia and Ari Cogdell clocked Carolina's fastest time of the season (3:05.44) to finish fourth in their heat and seventh overall.
"I'm really excited to have multiple athletes advance to the NCAA finals in Austin," head coach Harlis Meaders said.
