Dylan Menante broke the tournament record by four strokes to win the prestigious Northeast Amateur for the second year in a row Saturday at the Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, R.I.
Menante, a two-time All-America at Pepperdine who is transferring to the University of North Carolina, shot 19-under-par 257 to win the tournament by nine strokes over Stanford's Karl Vilips. Caleb Surratt was third at 8 under and 2022 NCAA champion Gordon Sargent tied for fourth at 6 under.
Carolina's Ryan Burnett shot 66 in the final round to tie teammate David Ford and several others in a tie for 23rd at 1 over par.
