MADRID, SPAIN - Representing Canada at 65 KG this past week, Lachlan McNeil was dominant once again in international competition, claiming the title in his respective weight class at the Grand Prix of Spain.
The gold medal finish for McNeil is the first of his career at the international senior level. During the tournament, the Toronto, Ontario product outscored his opponents 33-13, which saw him defeat wrestlers from Peru, Kazakhstan, South Korea, and Belgium.
In the semifinals, McNeil trailed 4-2 early in the match but would rally to secure the 10-4 victory and advance to the finals.
