CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Behind attackman seven points, the No. 14-ranked North Carolina men's lacrosse team (6-3) downed High Point (6-4) 16-9, Wednesday evening at Dorrance Field.
How It Happened
- A back-and-forth opening quarter saw the Tar Heel lead by three after the opening 15 minutes, as the six North Carolina goals all were netted by different players.
- After a High Point goal in the opening minute of the second frame, the Tar Heels answered with a 4-0 run over the next 10 minutes.
- The Panthers followed to halt the streak, however back-to-back scores for UNC saw the Tar Heels hold a 12-5 edge at the halftime break.
