How It Happened
- A back-and-forth first quarter saw the Tar Heels lead by one after the opening 15 minutes, 5-4.
- In the second, North Carolina outscored the Orange by five, 7-2, taking a six-goal lead to the break, 12-6.
- The Orange flipped the script in the third, outpacing the Tar Heels in the frame, 4-2, however UNC kept a four-goal lead entering the fourth, 14-10.
