CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA.—Drake Maye threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as No. 17 North Carolina beat Virginia, 31-28, at Scott Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Maye finished the day with 293 passing yards, completing 26 of 37 attempts. He was 13 for 18 for 184 yards in the second half to lead the way as Carolina took control for its fifth consecutive road win of the season, marking the program's longest road winning streak since 1997.
The Tar Heels won their fifth straight game overall and improved to 8-1 this season, including 5-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
