BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Two goals from Warren Marshall helped propel No. 5 North Carolina to a 6-1 victory over Campbell Tuesday night.
North Carolina (12-1-1) bounced back from its first loss of the season by scoring a season-high six goals against the Camels, who fall to 5-7 on the season.
Carolina waisted no time in getting on the scoreboard in the fifth minute. Tucker Hume drew a foul and a free kick just outside the top of the 18-yard box.
Raby George’s cross connected with Hume on a header. The attempt was saved by the keeper, but the rebound was punched in by Warren Marshall for a 1-0 Tar Heel lead.
