CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina men's lacrosse defensive midfielder Connor Maher was named a preseason first-team All-America by Inside Lacrosse, it was announced Wednesday afternoon. Maher was one of four Atlantic Coast Conference athletes to be tabbed with first team honors.
This is the second national recognition for the Timonium, Md. product, as Maher collected second-team All-America honors from USA Lacrosse Magazine earlier this month.
Named a team captain prior to the 2023 campaign for the second consecutive season, Maher finished second on the team with 43 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers in 2022, while also recording two goals and two assists.
