Inside Carolina is reporting, and the school has confirmed, that Mack Brown will not return as the UNC Football coach in 2025. They say that the decision was made by school officials during conversations on Monday.
Calls for Brown to be replaced at Carolina have been brewing for a while now, reaching deafening levels after the team’s embarrassing loss to James Madison on September 21st. The desire to move on from Brown was not helped by following that loss with a loss to Duke that saw the Tar Heels blow a big lead.
There was a lot of good will at the beginning of Brown’s second stint in Chapel Hill.
