KANSAS CITY—To be honest, it seemed like he was overselling it just a touch.
When Roy Williams met for his pregame conversation with Jones Angell on the Tar Heel Sports Network Tuesday night, he spent a couple minutes extolling the virtues of a Kansas State team that hadn’t beaten much of anyone so far in 2015-16. “This,” Williams said, “is going to be a big-time game.”
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a minute. “Big-time game” is Williams’ favorite phrase for one of those games that sticks as a turning point in a season.
