LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Phil Longo, North Carolina's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, is a semifinalist for the 2020 Broyles Award, which honors college football's top assistant coaches.
Under the guidance of Longo during his second season in Chapel Hill, the Tar Heel offense ranks fourth nationally by averaging 556.6 yards per game, a figure that is on pace to shatter the program record of 486.9 yards/game set in 2014.
Carolina's 43.0 points per game is fifth among Power 5 clubs, while UNC's 249.1 rushing yards per outing is second in the P5.
