Landscaping changes coming to Old Well grounds

UNC has begun relandscaping the grounds around the Old Well, removing some plant species that have graced the area for nearly 75 years. The first phase, started in August, included tearing out the hedges, azaleas and hollies. Less than a week before classes started, the area was just straw and bare soil. The native flora will provide a more open visual area. (Carolina Alumni Review)
