BYDGOSZCZ, Poland – Incoming freshman Marcus Krah and rising sophomore Nicole Greene competed at the World Junior Athletic Championships with tremendous success last week. Krah took home the gold in the 110-meter hurdles while Greene placed fifth in the high jump.
Krah, from Durham, N.C. posted a career best 13.25 in the final of the 110-meter hurdles to take the title and bring the gold medal to the U.S. team.
Greene finished as the top American in the field and took fifth in the competition with a best clearance of 6-0 (1.83 meters). Greene was an All-America high jumper for North Carolina in her first season on the team.
