CHAPEL HILL—The JV Tar Heels kicked off December with their matchup against Davidson County Community College on December 1 before the varsity game against Maryland. The boys fought hard throughout the game, putting up 97 points, but came up short of Davidson County’s 122, resulting in our first loss of the season.
When asked about the game, JV head coach C.B. McGrath said, “I’ve got to give Davidson County credit, they came in ready to play and executed their game plan. They made a ton of shots from all over the court, they drained a lot of 3’s, and we were struggling to keep the ball out of the lane.
