JR Anton was a diehard UNC fan with Hunter syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes the body to not properly break down certain types of sugars. Anton's love for UNC baseball dates back to the early 2000s, when he and his family went to Chapel Hill for a study on Hunter syndrome. That same summer, UNC went on a run that led them to the CWS.
