CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina has hired Josh Dionne as a women’s lacrosse assistant coach, head coach Jenny Levy announced on Tuesday.
Dionne, a two-time All-America attacker and NCAA champion as a player at Duke, served as an assistant women’s lacrosse coach at the United States Naval Academy for the last two seasons before coming to Chapel Hill. He replaces Katrina Dowd, who became the head coach at the University of Oregon in June after four seasons as a UNC assistant.
“I am extremely excited about the addition of Josh Dionne to our staff,” Levy says.
