Jerry Stackhouse has quickly established himself as a strong NBA head-coaching candidate. Toronto tapped Stackhouse to coach its D-League affiliate in 2016. Stackhouse responded by coaching Raptors 905 to the D-League championship and was named Coach of the Year. Executives have been impressed by his defense-first mentality and his sideline aptitude.
