Carter Jenkins, a junior men’s golfer at the University of North Carolina, shot a final round 68 to finish tied for fourth at The Patriot All-America College Golf Invitational played at the Gold Course at The Wigwam in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
Jenkins, a Raleigh, N.C., native, finished three shots back of University of Mississippi’s Braden Thornberry, who had a three-day total of 2-under 211.
Jenkins, who was second on the Tar Heels in the fall with a stroke average of 72.55 over four events, shot 72-74-68 for a 214 total.
The Patriot All-America invites 83 players from across the country to play in the event.
