CHAPEL HILL—North Carolina's Justin Jackson picked up another All-America honor on Monday evening when he was part of the 2016-17 John R. Wooden Award All-America team. The Los Angeles Athletic Club announced the 2017 Wooden All-America Team on a 30-minute show on ESPNU.
Jackson is the 18th consensus first-team All-America in Carolina history. He previously earned first-team All-America honors from the NABC and the Sporting News and second-team honors from the United States Basketball Writers Association. The Associated Press will announce its team on Tuesday. The NABC, USBWA, the Sporting News and the AP are the four organizations the NCAA uses to determine consensus All-America honors, which are the five players (plus ties) who make the majority of All-America first teams.
