J. Kenneth Lee, one of four African-American students who joined a lawsuit that led to the desegregation of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law, has died. He was 94..Lee was part of the lawsuit that was filed in 1949. He and the other plaintiffs were represented by Thurgood Marshall, then director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and later associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. (UNC.edu)
